Die Geognosie der Vulkane
- The paper deals with Alexander von Humboldt’s researches into the “Geognosy” of volcanoes. In the long run these researches led him to changing his views from the "neptunistic" doctrine of Abraham Gottlob Werner to the concept of "vulcanism".
